Acceptable use policy

Purpose and permitted use

Cheriby is for creating digital desktop pets from pet photos and preset animations. This policy applies to uploads, user-written corrections, generation requests, results and public showcases. Upload only material you are entitled to use.

1. Pornography and NSFW content

Do not upload, request, generate or share pornography, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material, sexual acts, sexual exploitation or sexual content involving animals.

2. Violence and gore

Do not create or upload graphic violence, gore, animal cruelty, torture, violent threats or content intended to encourage physical harm or self-harm.

3. Hate speech

Do not create or distribute hateful or dehumanising content, hate symbols, or calls for discrimination or violence against people based on protected characteristics.

4. Child-unsafe content

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualisation or exploitation of minors, grooming, and any content endangering children are strictly prohibited. Identified violations may result in removal or account restrictions and may be escalated or reported where required by law.

5. Deepfakes and impersonation

Do not use Cheriby for face swaps, “nudify” features, fabricated intimate scenes involving real people, identity substitution, or making a real person appear to say or do something they did not. Consent does not make a prohibited deepfake feature acceptable. Do not upload another person’s likeness or voice without their permission.

6. Copyright and trademark infringement

Do not upload or generate content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. Do not request unauthorised copies of protected characters or misleading use of another brand. You must have the necessary rights in references and intended uses.

Reports and manual review

Cheriby does not run a separate automated content-moderation service on uploads or generated files. We investigate reported policy violations and may manually review relevant submitted material and results when handling a report, appeal or support request. Public user showcases remain subject to publication review and re-review after a report.

Users remain responsible for the rights in their uploads and for following this policy. Our generation providers may apply their own content restrictions.

Reporting and appeals

Email support@cheriby.com with the subject “Content safety report” or “Content safety appeal”. Include the order or task reference, the relevant page URL if public, and a short explanation. Do not email illegal imagery or unnecessary personal information.

We assess reports, preserve necessary evidence, and may temporarily withhold the content or restrict the affected task during review. Where legally appropriate, we notify the affected user of the outcome and record the review decision.

Enforcement

Depending on severity and repetition, we may refuse generation, withhold or remove content, limit functionality, or suspend or terminate access. Attempts to evade restrictions or conceal prohibited content may result in account restrictions. Paid order handling follows our Refund policy and applicable law; a blocked request does not automatically cause forfeiture of an unrelated purchase.
